Richard Bazner, 66, of Kingman passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at the Gardens Care Center, Kingman. He was born May 13, 1944, in Yonkers, N.Y., to Frances and Louis Bazner and came to Kingman eight years ago from San Jose, Calif.
Richard had a master's degree in administration and was a postal employee for 40 years. He started in mail distribution, was the first full-time president of the American Postal Workers Union. After his term, he became a member of the National Association of Postal Supervisors and finished his career in management. He retired Oct. 30, 2002. He was a member of the Elks, Toastmasters and Masons. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Seabees.
Richard is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Bazner. They were married June 6, 1970.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 12, at the Masonic Lodge, 2985 John L Ave.
