Mark S. Shawler passed away on March 18th, 2011 at 6:10pm. He was 57. He passed peacefully after suffering from complications of Diabetes Mellitus. His last hours were spent comfortably in the company of his family that he loved so much.
Mark was a native Arizonan that spent many years as a farmer of cotton and produce. He had many outstanding accomplishments in his lifetime. He was a past President of the Supima Cotton Association Board. He was also a co-founder and board member of the Desert Sun State Bank in Parker, Arizona.
He played a large role in the separation of Yuma County into La Paz County in 1983. He was an avid golfer, and had memberships at Los Caballeros, Forest Highlands, and Wickenburg Country Club. However, the accomplishment he was most proud of was his family. He was a great father and a great friend. We will miss him more than words can say.
He is preceded in death by his father (Stan) L S Shawler, his mother Irene Shawler, and his brother Bruce Shawler. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Shawler, son in law Trenten, grandsons Greysen and Sebastian, son Scott Shawler, daughter-in-law Erin, granddaughter Kaelyn, and his sister Pat Shawler.
Services will be held at Shadow Mountain Mortuary located at 2350 E Greenway Road, Phoenix AZ 85022 on Saturday, April 2nd at 11am. We would also like to give special thanks to Hospice of the Valley (Eckstein Center) for making sure he was in comfort and peace when he passed.
