CASTILLE, Joseph Patrick


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, May 07, 2011 Joseph Patrick Castille, born Dec. 25, 1934, passed away on May 4, 2011, in Prescott, Ariz. Joe was born and raised in Louisiana. He was extremely proud of his Cajun heritage, and he spoke French fluently. In his younger years, he was a competitive boxer. At the age of 17, Joe enlisted in the Air Force and traveled the world. He and Bobbie were married in 1954. They lived in Torrance, Calif., for more than 30 years and raised their daughters there. Joe was a longtime member of the Masonic and Elks lodges. He was a structural welder and the successful owner of Acadian Welding, which helped him be a good provider for his family. Joe loved to bowl and, as an accomplished bowler, he spent many years at the lanes. Joe and Bobbi moved to Mesa, Ariz., in 1992 and, upon retirement 10 years later, moved to Prescott. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara ("Bobbie"); daughters Deborah Wang, Michele Riley and Daniele Pettit; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister; and two brothers.
