Norman Arthur Ranik passed away May 2, 2011, in Lake Havasu City at age 81. Norman was born Dec. 23, 1929, in Sunbury, Pa., to Otto and Helen Ranik.
Norman served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as an infantryman. He most recently worked or the Ford Motor Co., as an assemblyman, prior to moving to Lake Havasu City 18 years ago. Norman was a member of the Eagles and Elks Lodge 2399 of Lake Havasu City.
Norman is survived by his stepson, Bob (Sharon) Muravez; grandsons, Michael Muravez and Peter Muravez; nephews, Kenny Redland, Robert Redland, Ray Redland, Jerry Redland, Timmy Redland, Michael Hoffbauer and Jeff Hoffbauer; and special friends, Jo Beauchamp and Gladys Derochie. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith, who passed away in 1983; second wife, Florence, who passed away in 2007; brother, Edward Ranik; and sisters, Loretta Redlin and Harriett Hoffbauer.
Rosary will begin at 10:45 a.m., followed by the Memorial Mass Wednesday, at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Father Thomas Kawai will offer words of comfort and reassurance.
