Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 1, 1966 WITTAMNN MAN DIES OF WOUND John Bowers, 86-year-old Wittmann resident, died at 11:55 a.m. Saturday in Community Hospital here from the effects of a gunshot wound in the head, said to have been self-inflicted. Deputy Sheriff Bill Wethrill was called to the E Bar L Rest Home at 10:30 a.m. by the proprietor, Mrs Edna Lightfoot, and accompanied the wounded man and Mrs Lightfoot to the hospital. The only known survivor is a nephew, Warner Maning of Kansas City, Mo.
