Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Wednesday, May 11, 2011 Katherine R. Best, 90, of Flagstaff died May 9, 2011. She was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was a member of the Episcopal Church, PEO Sisterhood, Boise Tuesday Musicale and Weaver's Guild. She enjoyed piano playing, travel, reading, weaving and knitting. Mrs. Best is survived by her daughters, Mary Nebel of Flagstaff, (Dave); Karen Clarke of Murphreesboro, Tenn. (George Riordan); Margaret Wells of Clarion, Pa. (Larry); and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Best. A memorial service will be Saturday, May 14, at 2 p.m. at The Peaks, 3150 N. Winding Brook. Memorial contributions can be made to the John and Katherine Best Scholarship, Boise State University or the American Heart Association.
