Joyce A. Kays, 84, passed away at her home in Lake Havasu City, Sunday. She was born April 21, 1927, in Duluth, Minn., to Joseph and Maria Kerminski.
Joyce was raised in Duluth and moved to Colorado in 1963 with her husband, Marvin, and four children. After raising their four children, they moved to Grand Lake, Colo., and bought and ran a small Snack Bar and Bait shop. In the early ’80s they moved to Arizona. It was in Arizona they would enjoy an early, yet busy retirement. They would spend their winters in Lake Havasu and travel during the summer. Joyce loved to fish, travel, ride motorcycles and bake. She is gone from our sight and will now be in our memories. Normally April showers bring May flowers, but on this first day of May, God took a special flower from all of us. Mom we love you and will miss you with all our hearts.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Terry and Ron Kays; daughter, Nancy Humble; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Kays; and son, Shawn Kays.
Condolences and thoughts can be sent to the family at www.lakehavasumortuary.com.
Arrangements are under the care of Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory.
