The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 22, 1960, p. 5 California Rites for Burt Rose Burt Rose, 90-year-old father of Homer Rose of Wickenburg died in Los Angeles last Friday night. The Wickenburg son and his wife left here the following morning to attend the funeral and burial services. The elder Mr. Rose, who worked at the building trade in Kansas prior to the turn of the century, took his family to Colorado in a covered wagon in 1901. He later lived in Boise, Idaho, and in 1929 he homesteaded land along the Hassayampa River near Morristown. He later moved to Los Angeles where he was active as a mason and mechanic until five years ago.
