Rites Tuesday For George E. Bradford
Captain Glenn W. Lee of the Salvation Army, Prescott, conducted funeral services Tuesday afternoon in the Wickenburg Chapel for George Edward Braford. Burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
Mr. Braford, who resided just across the road from the Mohave Mining & Milling Co. mill in Box Canyon, died early last Saturday morning in the Yavapai County Hospital in Prescott where he had been a patient since January 15. He had been ill since last October and had previously been hospitalized for eight weeks in Tempe and Phoenix.
Born June 25, 1918, in Empire Township, Wis., Mr Braford came to Arizona in the fall of 1948 and lived in Tucson, Yuma and Dateland before moving to Wickenburg in the summer of 1953. He had been a railroader, rancher, construction worker and miner.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Bernice Braford; a daughter, Sharon, 14; and a son, Walter, 10. Also surviving are the father, George Andrew Braford, one sister and five brothers, all of Wisconsin.
