The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 05/13/2011 Richard Pearson, 74, died May 8, 2011. He was born June 30, 1936, in Eagar, the son of Gene and Cora Ida Gibbons Pearson. He served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from the construction industry. He loved the mountains and considered them his home. He was a summertime resident of Greer. Richard is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Pearson of Mesa; brothers: Darrell Sharp, Don Pearson, Nick Pearson, Joe Sharp, John Sharp, and Harry Sharp; and two grandsons Joshua Cornett and Zachary Pearson. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Julie Pearson; daughter Marianne Pearson Cornett; sisters: Maybell Caskey and Lady Ward; and brother Charlie Sharp. Graveside services with military honors was held Thursday, May 12, at the Fairview Cemetery in Superior. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled arrangements.
