The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ February 5, 1960, p. 8 Prescott Rites For Jim Purdy Funeral services were to be conducted this morning (Friday) in the Fort Whipple Chapel at Prescott for Jim Purdy, 75-year-old Wickenburg resident. Mr Purdy died Sunday in the Fort Whipple Veterans Hospital where he had been a patient since January 9. Burial will be in the national cemetery there. Mr. Purdy, a native of Wyoming, had been an Arizona rancher and wrangler most of his life and had lived in Wickenburg or this immediate vicinity for many years. He and Mrs Purdy resided in the Valle Vista Trailer Park. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving, in addition to the widow, Jennie Thomas Purdy, is a step-daugther, Mrs Leota Craft of Wickenburg
