Palmer, 67, Yarnell resident, were held in the Fort Whipple Chapel in Prescott Wednesday morning with burial following in the national cemetery there. Mr Palmer died in the Fort Whipple Veterans Hospital Monday. Born in Detroit, Mr Palmer was a veteran of World War I, was cook by profession and authored the book “Tumbleweeds.” He had lived in Yarnell for the past two years. Before that he resided in Aguila. The widow, Annie, survives.
