The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 25, 1960, p. 8 Friday Rites For Irwin B. Schwabe Memorial services will be held today (Friday) in New Albany, Miss., for Irwin B. Schwabe of that city who died here Monday. The 68-year-old man was a guest at Monte Vista Ranch. Mr Schwabe suffered a heart attack at the ranch at noon Monday and was removed to Community Hospital where he had a second attack at 5:30 p.m. He died 10 minutes later. Mr Schwabe was the founder and president of the Irwin B. Schwabe Co., shirt manufacturing firm with headquarters in New York City and six factories in Mississippi. Two years ago he and his sister, Miss Gladys Schwabe, vice-president of the firm, moved from New York to New Albany, Miss. He and his sister’s visit to Monte Vista Ranch this season was their fifth annual Wickenburg winter visit.
