The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 29, 1960, p. 6 Roy Allen Rites Friday Morning Funeral services for Roy Allen will be held at 11 o’clock this morning (Friday) in the Wickenburg Chapel with the Rev. Paul Mummert, pastor of the Foursquare chapel, officiating. Burial will be in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr Allen, who had been ill for a number of years but able to work, was admitted to Community Hospital here Monday night. He died at 8:15 o’clock Tuesday morning. He was born June 6, 1920 in Willcox, Ariz., moved to Wickenburg with his parents when he was 12 years old and attended school here. He was in the trucking business, owning and operating his own trucks. He lived and operated out of Wickenburg until seven years ago when he moved to Aguila. Surviving are the widow, Irene; the parents, Mr & Mrs William Allen of Wickenburg; one daughter, Wanda Allen of Sanisom, Ariz.; one brother, John Allen of Wickenburg; and one sister, Mrs Lois Shelstad of Long Beach, Calif. Also surviving are an uncle and aunt, Mr & Mrs Albert Allen, and two nieces, Shirley and Barbara Allen, all of Wickenburg.
