Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Monday, May 16, 2011 - Rickie Lee Whitaker, 53, passed away May 11, in Lake Havasu City. He was born Aug. 6, 1957, in Buffalo, N.Y., to John and Nancy Whitaker. Rick moved to Lake Havasu City more than 10 years ago, coming from Victorville, Calif. He was a hard worker and loved to spend time with his family. His favorite hobby was fishing, as well as listening to his favorite music. He will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed. Rick is survived by his wife, Paula Whitaker, of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Bonnie Dollar; parents, John and Nancy Whitaker; sisters, Deborah, Wendy, Christy and Michelle Whitaker; brothers, Dennis, Thomas, James, Douglas, Gregory, Mark, Michael and Joey; grandson, Victor Dollar; stepdaughters, Samantha, Nicole and Oshay; nephews, John J., David, Gregory, Brandon, Jeremy, Tyler and Christopher; nieces, Tammy, Melissa, Megan, Mary, Jessica, Courtney, Ladonney, Regina, Ashley, Melody and Brittany; 23 greatnieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by John and Robert Whitaker. A memorial service will be held at Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel Wednesday, at 11:30 a.m., with Pastor Dwight Aalgaard officiating.
