Flossie Elva Yount passed away on May 13, 2011, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born on Dec. 28, 1915, in Hooker, Okla.
She was 95 years old and still very active in her community. Flossie was loved by everyone, having a great sense of humor, infinite kindness and an easy personality. When Flossie was six, she drove a covered wagon with her family to Texas. As a young woman, she moved to Arizona and has lived here ever since. She assisted her husband, Ted Yount, as a teacher in Crown King and Yarnell. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Flossie was married to Ted Yount (who passed away in 2005) for more than 50 years. She has five daughters, Joyce Blasdell, Doris Montoya, Bobbie Whitlock, Terry Hanes and Ella McCracken (step), three stepsons, Ted, Greg and Jon Yount, 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of Flossie's Life 1 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Las Fuentes social room, 1035 Scott Drive, Prescott, Ariz.
Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
