HERSHBERGER, Walter T.

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, May 18, 2011 Walter T. Hershberger, 91, passed away May 8 at Genesis West Hospital in Davenport, Iowa, after a brief illness. He was born July 4, 1919 near Kalona, Iowa, to Chancy and Mary (Yoder) Hershberger. He married Betty Marie Brenneman Nov. 23, 1941. Together they farmed many years and raised four children. In retirement years they enjoyed winters in Arizona. He is survived by his children Donna (Robert) Fredericks of Wickenburg, Ariz.; Rose Hershberger of Davenport; Rita (Roger) Hoffman of East Peoria, Il.; and Ted (Laura) Hershberger of Coralville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty in 1999, and five siblings. Per his wishes, there will be no visitation, and private services are pending.
