MERRIFIELD, Stanley

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, May 18, 2011 Stanley Merrifield, age 95, of Globe, Ariz. passed away on May 8, 2011 at Heritage Health Care Center in Globe. He was born in Wardner, Idaho on Oct. 29, 1915, the son of James and Emma Merrifield. Stanley had worked in the airline manufacturing business with McDonnel Douglas in Long Beach, Calif. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and telling stories. He once owned a ranch in the mountains near Young, Ariz. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. Stanley is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Florine Merrifield. Stanley is survived by a granddaughter, Kathy Montague of Globe, Ariz. Funeral Services were private. Interment was in Globe Cemetery with military honors.
