SPILLMAN, W. W. Bock


Wickenburg (AZ) Sun Wednesday, December 30, 1998, p A-14 W. W. Bock Spillman of the Phoenix area died Dec 11. He was 69. Mr. Spillman was born in Leeds, Mo., and came to Arizona 24 years ago from Ohio. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and was a businessman, community and civic leader and volunteer. For 15 years, he was the owner of Bock's Home Repair. As the former owner of two locations of The Billiard Store, in Scottsdale and Phoenix, he donated many pool tables and billiard equipment to the Boys Clubs and the YMCA. He also was the proud sponsor of many other civic organizations for inner-city youth. He was very much involved with the Silver Spokes, an organization to help people in wheelchairs. Mr. Spillman was a member of the Masonic Lodge 76 of Independence, Mo., and an Elder of Glendale Seventh Day Adventist Church and also served on the school Board of Directors. Survivors include his wife Carolyn; sons Kyle of Wickenburg, W R "Rick" and Ron Spillman, and Clayton and Gerald Eads; daughters Rebecca Bush, Tammy Eads of Wickenburg (former owner of Tammy's Flooring & Design in Wickenburg), Marcie Henrey, Carolyn and Katrina Spillman, and Julie Olson; brothers Charlie, Patrick, Michael and John; sisters Nellie, Mary, Anita and Myrna; mother and friend Geneva Hembree; and 10 grandchildren--including granddaughter Brandy Lewis of Wickenburg. We love you, dad, and miss you. Services have been held. The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, Arizona Division, Inc, Maricopa Region, PO Box 5377, Phoenix AZ.
