Phoebe was born January 28, 1954 in Whiteriver, Arizona to Francis and Betty (Danford) Antonio. A two night wake will begin 10:00AM Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the family residence, 109 N. Middle St., Canyon Day, Navajo County, Arizona. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Canyon Day Miracle Church. Burial will follow in the Canyon Day Cemetery, Canyon Day, Arizona. ~~~~~~~~~ The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 05/24/2011 “Our dearly loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend” Phoebe Antonio, 57, entered eternal rest Tuesday, May 17, 2011. She was born Jan. 28, 1954, in Canyon Day, the daughter of Francis and the late Betty Antonio. She was the second of 11 children. Phoebe was a kind and generous person who enjoyed beading and putting together puzzles. In her past time she liked to cook, clean, and care for her grandchildren. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren. “She will be dearly missed by all.” She is survived by her son, Mitchell Antonio; grandchildren: Michelle Antonio, Jaquez Antonio, and Mitzi Antonio; sisters: Lela Lacapa, Barbara Goklish, Veronica Antonio, Beverly Jackson, Mercy Antonio, Regina Cosay, Karen Clarkson and Roxie Baha; and brother Richard Antonio; aunts: Mable Boni, Ingrid Palmer, and Evelyn Antonio; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Antonio; sister Velva Paxson; brothers Rocky Antonio and Davis Antonio; and niece Verlynn Fall. A two-night wake will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 26, at the Francis Antonio’s residence in Canyon Day. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. May 28, at Canyon Day Miracle Church and officiated by Reverend Marvin Begay. Interment will be at the Canyon Day Cemetery.
