MCDONALD, James (Jim)


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, May 25, 2011 James “Jim” McDonald passed away on March 20 with his family holding his hands. Jim was a self-employed illustrator. His work has graced the Valley from every angle. His clients included numerous high profile firms. Jim was born in Rockville Centre, N.Y., on Aug. 14, 1958 to Thomas and Catherine McDonald. He was raised in Hempstead, N.Y. He came to Arizona in 1973. He graduated from Wickenburg High School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at Arizona State University in 1981. After working several years on the East Coast, he returned to Arizona in 1988. Jim will be remembered for his gentle open heart, his warm smile, and his sense of humor. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Maureen Brady, their two children, daughter Lindsey and son David. He is also survived by eight siblings, Marie, Tom, Michael, David, Jeanette, Daniel, Matthew, and Elizabeth.
