Orville F. Lutgen passed away May 16, 2011, in Lake Havasu City, at age 84. He was born to Henry and Gladys (Taylor) Lutgen May 17, 1926, in Huron, S.D.
Orville served under the direction of the U.S. Army from July 1944 to July 1946 during World War II. He married his beloved bride, Carol Allison Stickles, Jan. 22, 1947, and together they made Lake Havasu their home 23 years ago from Cambria, Calif. Orville was a member of the Elks, American Legion, Moose and the Methodist Church.
Orville leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Carol Lutgen, of Lake Havasu City; son, Thomas Allen Lutgen, of Barstow, Calif.; daughter, Vicki Allison Coombs, of Kingman; brother, Harvey Lutgen, of Maple Grove Minn.; sister, Jean Biros, of Seattle; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Gladys Lutgen; brother, Henry F. Lutgen; and one great-granddaughter, Ashleigh Hans.
A Lodge of Sorrows will be held Saturday, at 11 a.m. at Elks BPOE Lodge 2399.
The family has asked that donations in Orville’s memory go to New Hope Hospice, 500 N. Lake Havasu Ave., Suite B106, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403, or Elks BPOE 2399, 3532 McCulloch Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406.
