AINSWORTH, Kenneth Dean, DDS


Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Wednesday, June 01, 2011 Kenneth Dean Ainsworth DDS, 60, formerly of Flagstaff, died May 30, 2011, in an auto accident. He was born May 5, 1951, to Chester and Mary Imogene Ainsworth in Conway, Ark. His family moved to Flagstaff while he was in the eighth grade, where he attended Flagstaff Junior High and graduated Flagstaff High School class of 1969. He graduated from Northern Arizona University with degrees in geology, biology and chemistry. He then went on to attend Baylor University School of Dentistry in Dallas, graduating in 1976. He then returned to his hometown of Flagstaff, where he practiced dentistry from 1977 to 2002. From 2002 to the present, he spent his time practicing in Texas and spending time with his family in Flagstaff. Dr. Ainsworth enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hiking and taking photographs wherever his adventures led him. Most of all, he loved his family. He married his high school sweetheart, Kay, and enjoyed great times together with their children and friends. He is survived by his wife, Kay; children Matt of Seattle, Ryan of Butte, Mont., Dana of Seattle and Tyler of Flagstaff. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial Mass will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 16 W. Cherry Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made at the National Bank of Arizona for Tyler Ainsworth.
