Stella L. Brown died May 29, 2011, on her 70th birthday at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of Chuck and Gwen (Carter) Sheppard.
She was proud of her Arizona ranching heritage. She was Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo Queen and a graduate of Prescott High School. She was active in her children's lives, be it scouting or 4H activities. After her marriage to Bob, she enjoyed black powder shooting and was Colorado's State Ladies Champion. They attended many rendezvous, especially on Memorial Day weekend in Williams. She always enjoyed bowling.
She is survived by her husband, Bob, of Chino Valley; daughter Jairi Miller of Chino Valley and Charlie (Tricia) Lewis of Prescott Valley; two stepsons, Harry Brown of Utah and Ernie Brown of Colorado; and sister Lynda (John) Kieckhefer of Prescott; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Stella's life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton, with burial at 2 p.m. at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
