MUNZER, Christian Hans


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, May 31, 2011 Christian Hans Munzer, 55, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., passed away at home on Saturday, May 21, 2011. He was born and raised in Graz, Austria, to Johanna Cecilia Munzer and Walter Kolb, who preceded him in death. He was an incredible man of integrity. Christian came to the United States at age 21 and lived in New York, Oregon, California and Arizona. Christian served six-and-a-half years in the United States Army in Panama, later, on a second tour, in Europe securing the West German-Czechoslovakian border, and was decorated with various medals. He enjoyed a career as a professional driver, a highly favored pastry chef, and mostly owning his own commercial and residential landscape business, Apex Landscaping Inc. Christian enjoyed helping others in need, hiking, gardening, cooking, creating many recipes, and, most of all, he was an avid Bible student. His heart was with God. He is survived by his loving spouse, Christin Bowra-Munzer of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; stepchildren Mychel and Jeff Westra of Prescott Valley and Brian Bowra of Coolidge, Ariz.; step-grandchildren Gage, Dusty and Kadin Bowra, Jessica McKurey, Jessica and Josh Westra; step-great-granddaughter Audria; sister Edeltraud Marbler and husband Hans of Austria; brother Franz Munzer and wife Barbara of Austria; stepfather Franz; seven nieces and nephews, Philipp, Sandra, Michael, Mario, Lukas, Paul and Florian; and many, many loving friends. Christian also leaves behind his Christian family from the Mingus Mountain Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Prescott Valley and the Bradshaw Congregation in Prescott. He looks ahead with anticipation to the resurrection when he will have a new body that will not get sick and enjoy a clean new earth in God's presence. Revelation 21:1-4.
