Jeffrey William Burke, an installation technician for Cable One for the past 12 years, passed away May 26, 2011 at his residence. He was 38.
Born in Hawthorne, Nev., Jeff moved to Globe at the age of one. Raised in Globe, he graduated from Globe High School in 1991 and attended Yavapai Community College in Prescott where he studied auto mechanics.
He returned to Globe where he was employed as a stocker for Wal-Mart, drove trucks at Pinto Valley for BHP, and finally worked for Cable One.
He loved being outdoors; he especially enjoyed hunting, playing softball, fishing, four-wheeling, jet-skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Jeff “J.J.,” Nicholas “Nic,” and Stephanie Burke, all of Globe; mother, Joy (Nolan) Ashcraft Philpot of Globe; father, James (Kathy) Burke of Reno, Nev.; sister, Nichole Salcido of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers, James M. Burke, Jr. of Sparks, Nev., Geoff and George DeForno, both of Reno, Nev.; as well as his companion for the last two years, Jennifer Myers of Prescott, Ariz.
Memorial services will be Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Pinal Mountain Elks Lodge, 1910 E. Maple St. in Globe.
Interment will be private.
