The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Sept. 23, 1960, p. 1 Funeral Saturday For Mrs Siekman Funeral services for Mrs Eva Siekman will be held in the First Presbyterian Church at 2 o’clock tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon with Dr. Charles S. Poling of Phoenix, former pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in the Wickenburg Cemetery with graveside rites conducted by the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs Siekman died at 1:20 p. m. Tuesday in Community Hospital after a long illness. Born in Chillicothe, O., July 19, 1896, Mrs Siekman resided in Columbus, O., until she and her husband, Earl Siekman, moved to Phoenix in 1929. She and Mr Siekman were married in 1919. They came to Wickenburg in May, 1946, and established Siekman’s Flower Shop & Nursery on the California Highway. The shop was sold to their daughter and son-in-lae, Mrs & Mrs Robert Daley, in July, 1955. Mr & Mrs Siekman continued to reside here until two years ago when they moved to Sunnyslope. They returned here this spring. Surviving are the husband and two daughters, Mrs Daley of Wickenburg and Mrs Carl Hilliard of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Mrs Charles Minter of Phoenix, formerly of Wickenburg; and three grandchildren, Roberta ad Beth Daley and David Hilliard. Music at the funeral will be by Mrs Robert Wentworth, Mrs Fred Babcock, Mrs Paul; Swaney and Mrs Reuben Stifel with Mrs Randolph Patterson at the organ. Graveside rites will be conducted by the Eastern Star. Mrs Siekman was a past matron of the Laurel Chapter No. 30 OES in Phoenix.
