The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 2, 1960, p. 7 Car Plunge Over Yarnell Hill Kills A Prescott Man Robert Eugene Butricks, 30, of Prescott was killed Wednesday night of last week when he was thrown from his car which plunged 700 feet down the side of Yarnell Hill. Highway Patrolman William Harkleroad says that Butricks was traveling north on Highway 89 when, at about 2½ miles south of Yarnell, the car went out of control, went off the roadway to the left, jumped a culvert, struck the hillside, then veered to the right, crossed the highway and rolled down the hillside. Butricks was thrown from the car as it made the 700-foot plunge.
