Ralph Masteller Rites Tuesday
Masonic rites were conducted in the Wickenburg Chapel at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday for Ralph A. Masteller who died of a heart attack in his Sunny Cove Heights home at 5:10 p.m. December 24. After cremation in Phoenix, memorial services and interment were to take place in Altadena, Calif.
Mr. Masteller, who with his wife retired in Wickenburg a year and one-half ago, was chairman of the Business Education Department at Arizona State University of California at Los Angeles for 18 years. Prior to that he was principal of the Montezuma, Ia., High School. He was a graduate of Penn College at Oskaloosa, Ia., and the University of Iowa at Iowa city.
Mr Masteller was born August 30, 1903, in Lacey, Ia. He and his wife were married 30 years ago this week in Phoenix.
During World War II he was head of an auditing team in the Fourth Western Command of the Air force.
Surviving are the widow, Mary; one daughter, Mrs Martha Jane McGee, of West Barrington, R. I.; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs Ross Dusenbery of Oskaloosa, Ia., and mrs Verne Mettler of Mason City, Ia.
