She was a resident of Kingman from 1997 to 2009. Mary was born June 12, 1928, in Whetstone, Ariz., to Benjamin and Minnie Pennington. She graduated from Marysville High School. She married Charles Carlton; he preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2009, in Kingman. Mary worked as a coin counter in various gambling casinos in Nevada and New Jersey. Mary loved cats and traveling. She is survived by two daughters, Sandi Miller of Sacramento, Calif., and Sharon Gonsalves of Magalia, Calif.; and a son, Duke Danisan of Yuba City; stepsons, John Carlton of Fernley, Nev., and Jim Carlton of Sacramento; three grandchildren; and a cousin, Jim Pennington.
