Wickenburg (AZ) Graphic Friday, April 22, 1932, p 8:2 Mrs A. H. Strohm received a wire notifying her of the death of her father at San Antonio, Texas, and she left immediately to attend the funeral. Her father, W S McCombs, was a well-known citizen of that place, was an Indian War veteran, and was eighty-five years old at the time of his death. He left a family of three girls and three boys, all grown and married, and his aged and invalid wife. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ San Antonio (TX) Express Friday, April 15, 1932, p 16 McCombs--S W McCombs died at his residence, 150 W Hafer St., Wednesday, April 13, in his 85th year. He is survived by his wife, Leenora McCombs; three sons, Walter, Kie and Tom McCombs; three daughters, Mrs J F Shull, Mrs A H Strohm and Mrs Nora Frye, and one grandson, Sam Cooner. T he body will be sent to Millett, Tex., for interment there, under direction of Wilbert-Hanavan, funeral directors.
