Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Saturday, June 4, 2011 - John James Patskan, 78, passed away June 1, 2011, in Lake Havasu City. He was born May 31, 1933, in Detroit, Mich., to John and Elizabeth Patskan. John served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force from July 1951-August 1954 and was an aeronautical technician. He moved to Lake Havasu City more than 20 years ago, coming from Mountain Home, Ark. He was a member of the Elks and the Eagles. John had a wonderful sense of humor and had many friends. He will be deeply missed. John is survived by his partner-in-life, Joyce Huff, of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Jo (Armondo) Covelli; sons, James, Dan and Dennis Patskan; sister, Betty Patskan; aunt, Lorraine Yuhas; grandchildren, Scott (Jenne) Covelli and Amanda (Jacob) Hoelzer; great-grandchildren, Jarrett, Jace and Sienna Covelli. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audie Patskan, May 28, 2008. Graveside service will be at Montecito Memorial Park in Colton, Calif., Tuesday, with Interment to follow.
