Jerry Cabala, 69, of Wickenburg, Az. passed away on Memorial Day unexpectedly. He was born in Indiana, grew up and attended high school in Suburban Chicago, then went on to earn a B.A. degree at the University of Dubuque in Iowa and a Master’s degree in Social Services Administration at the University of Illinois.
Prior to moving to Wickenburg in 1997, Jerry held a number of positions in state government, mainly focusing on the creation, supervision and funding of mental health programs. Jerry also was a partner in a RV sales business in the Midwest and an investor in new home construction. After moving to Wickenburg, Jerry enjoyed finding new homes as a realtor most recently with West USA realty. He got so much satisfaction out of putting young people into their first homes bescause of the aspirations and progress of his two sons now in their forties.
He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne (Haefs) Cabala, sons Craig and Chad, grandchildren Brittney, Cody, Ben, Amber and Paul, his Mother Lottie, and Sister Marcia.
Jerry was an avid stamp collector and an enthusiastic golfer, loving to be out in the folf course challenging himself and his friends.
A memorial service will be held at David’s Desert Chapel Funeral Home in Wickenburg, on Friday, June 10th at 2:00 P.M.
