Billye Ruth Andrews, 63, of Kearny, passed away May 30, 2011 and in Mesa. She was born in Miami on July 16, 1947, to William J. and Dorothy Bracamonte. She spent most of her childhood in the copper mining towns of Globe/Miami and Kearny. Billye spent her entire career in the Hotel/Restaurant industry. She had, also, enjoyed working with numbers and accounting as well as preparing taxes for her friends and families.
Billye planned several fundraisers for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, served as the Chair of the Copper Basin Days celebration and as President of the Copper Basin Chamber of Commerce. Billye loved to cook and care for her family. She enjoyed sewing and was an exceptionally talented seamstress.
Billye married Lloyd “Tick” Andrews in 1999 and enjoyed traveling with him as his employment took them around the country. She and Lloyd frequently returned to Arizona to spend holidays with their children and grandchildren, until they retired in 2007. After retirement, they spent summers in Washington State and winters in Arizona.
Billye was preceded in death by her daughter, Tamara. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd “Tick” Andrews; children, Pamela Ogule, Lesli Napier, Rhett Wilson, Dorothy Nakayama; sister, Karen Hinderberger; brother, Johnny Bracamonte; five grandchildren: Meghann, Hailey, Jaren, Monei, Alexis; stepchildren, Lloyd Andrews Jr., Lorri Andrews; six step-grandchildren: Megan, Katrina, Jaylet, Dallas, Amber, Cory; and, seven step-great-grandchildren.
