The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, June 07, 2011 Leo C. Bennett of Humboldt, Ariz., died Thursday, June 2, 2011. He was born on Dec. 9, 1929, in Earl Park, Ind. Leo is survived by one son, Douglas (Patricia) of Phoenix, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Velma; sons David, Donald and Darrell; and daughters, Donna and Denise. Leo retired to Arizona from the Air Force in 1970. He spent the last 41 years working as a nurseryman in Phoenix, moving in 1980 to Humboldt, where he operated the Humboldt Market until 2003. Leo was a well-known figure in Humboldt and will be missed by his family and many friends. Services at will be at a later date at the VA Chapel in Prescott, Ariz.
