REEVES, Charlie R.

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, June 08, 2011 Charlie R. Reeves, 86, of Peeples Valley Ariz., passed away Thursday May 26. He was born in Belcher Ville, Texas on Sept. 10, 1924. Charlie was the middle child of seven brothers and sisters. He joined the Army Air Corp. March 25, 1943 and served until Feb. 25, 1946. During that time he served as a glider maintenance specialist. Charlie made his living as a welder and retired from the Local 469 Pipe Fitters Union in 1986. Charlie is survived by his daughter Lucy (Shane) Chaves of Peeples Valley, Ariz.; sister Idotha Poling of Texas; grandsons Nick Reeves and Tanner Basham, granddaughter Codie Chaves, and two great grandsons Aiden and Landyn Reeves. Charlie was married to Adria in 1974 and has numerous extended family members by marriage. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with services at 11 Saturday (June 11) at the Heritage Memory Mortuary 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Ariz. Burial will be at the Citizen Cemetery in Flagstaff, Ariz.
