THOMPSON, James Laverne

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Wednesday, June 08, 2011 James Laverne Thompson, 74, of Flagstaff, died May 31, 2011 in San Diego, Calif. He was born Jan. 17, 1937, in Portland, N.D. Mr. Thompson was a retired CPA. He served as a lieutenant colonel of the U.S. Air National Guard. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed boating, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Thompson is survived by his ex-wife, Darlene Thompson; daughter Rebecca Thompson-Clark (Richard) of Queen Creek; son Steven L. Thompson (Cary) of Flagstaff; brothers David Thompson of Payson, Bill Thompson of Beulah, N.D.; and Ron Thompson of Eau Claire, Wis.; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Contact a family member for further information.
