Lane, prominent Phoenix realtor who died in that city June 29, was a partner with Charles Stauffer, also of Phoenix, in owning the ground at the corner of Center and Tegner Streets where the Standard Service Station stands. When the two men purchased the property, recalls Mrs E. A. Stein, the old theater building was on it. Mr & Mrs Stein, who owned the lot adjoining on the west, purchased the theater building which was moved from the corner lot to the Stein lot. Mr & Mrs Stein attended funeral services for Mr Lane in Phoenix July 2.
