Funeral Held For Clarence Hancock, Former Resident
Clarence R. Hancock, 60, one of the organizers and the first president of Wickenburg's Rotary Club, died in a Phoenix hospital last week. Funeral services were held Tuesday in that city with burial in the Mesa Cemetery.
Mr Hancock owned and operated the Texaco bulk plant here for five years before he sold out to Hal Warner in 1939 and moved to Phoenix.
He operated a number of service stations in Arizona and California under his name until his retirement a few years ago.
Survivors include the widow, Eva.; a son, Clarence, Jr. of Needles; a daughter, Mrs Kathryn Limpais of Alexandria, Va., a stepdaughter, Mrs Rona Otis of Needles; a stepson, Jack Peterson of Phoenix; and his mother, Mrs Ludia Hancock of Mesa.
