Former Town Attorney Dies
Ralph Barry, 73, who served Wickenburg as town attorney from 1946 through 1948, died in Phoenix Thursday of last week. Funeral services were conducted by the V. F. W. and Elks in that city Monday afternoon. The American Legion conducted graveside rites in Greenwood Memorial Park there.
Mr Barry was a former judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court, was a member of the Selective Service Board of Phoenix, and had been active in the V.F. W., American Legion and Elks. He was a veteran of World War I.
Born in Chicago, Mr Barry later lived in St. Paul, Minn., and moved to Holbrook 28 years ago. Five years later he moved to Phoenix. While serving as Wickenburg’s town attorney, he commuted from Phoenix but later lived here for a short while.
Surviving are the widow, Lillian; a daughter, Mrs. Rita Ann Rock of New York City; two sons, Robert, a congressman from New York State and John of Chicago; one brother, John, Sr., of Phoenix; and six grandchildren
