The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, June 11, 2011 Nancy Stewart Field passed away on June 7, 2011, at the age of 89. Nancy had been residing at Pinecrest Adult Care Home in Prescott, Ariz. Nancy was born in Hanover, Mass., on April 27, 1922, where she lived most of her life. In Hanover, she spent many good times with friends and family and truly enjoyed her life there. On Feb. 22, 1947, Nancy married John Field at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Hanover, Mass. Nancy and John had a special love, and were totally devoted to each other. In Hanover, Nancy and John raised daughters Joanne and Cindy. As well as being a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, Nancy had many other interests. She volunteered her time to various local organizations in and around Hanover. She enjoyed playing golf, tennis and bridge, and was an incredible cook. Throughout her life, she was a dedicated and faithful Boston sports fan. Nancy was intelligent, athletic, hard-working, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Nancy will especially be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends and how much she enjoyed spending wonderful times with those she loved. Nancy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She will never be forgotten. Nancy is survived by daughters Joanne Purce and Cindy Gillis; three grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew and Kelly; as well as all of her wonderful nephews, nieces, and their extended families. She was preceded in death by her husband John, sister Margaret Mullan and brother Robert Stewart. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to Nancy's devoted caregivers at Pinecrest Adult Care Home. A memorial service will be at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Hanover, Mass., at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2011. A family graveside service will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
