MAIO, Joseph Emilio

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, July 9, 2003 Joseph Emilio Maio was born in Trinidad, Colorado on April 21, 1926, and died on July 6, 2003. He moved to Phoenix in 1953 to work as a printer at the Republic & Gazette Newspaper. Joe married Agnes in 1954 and together they raised four children. He retired from the newspaper in 1989. Joe is survived by his wife, four children, five grandchildren, his mother, brother and sister. Joe loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved his family and his friends. He touched the lives of everyone he met...he will be missed. A private family internment will be held Wed, July 9th with a Memorial Mass/Celebration for family and friends in the fall.
