Marie L. Shultz Marie L. Shultz, 81, of Phoenix, passed away from complications due to a serious burn accident. She lived a wonderful, rewarding life until the recent, tragic accident. Marie was born Thursday, August 25, 1921. She grew up in Pennsylvania, moved to Cleveland, Ohio, took a registered nurse degree, met and married Albert H. Shultz, and started her family of three boys, Martin, Jerome and Mel. The family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1953 and has resided in Arizona for five decades. Her beloved husband Albert and son Jerome preceded her in death. She lived a life of service and devotion to family, becoming a registered nurse, practicing in obstetrics and public health fields for decades. As a constant companion to her husband of 50 years, there was exceptional pride in being the Matriarch of the Shultz family. She is survived by her sons Martin (Linda) and Mel (Beth) and Jerome's widow Sharon, all of Phoenix, sister Shirley (Dick) Zirkin and brother Hershel (Joan) Solomon. She is survived by twelve grandchildren: Debbie & Sam Ater, Beth & Tom Shultz, Robyn & Steven Vizvary, Karen & Ben Shultz, Amy & Corey Conkright, Eli Shultz & Nathaniel Shultz. Marie is also survived by ten great-grandchildren: Elle, Ashley & Chelsea Shultz, Jessica Ater, Trae Conkright, Baily Shultz, Brittany Ater, Beau Shultz, Hannah Conkright & Josiah Shultz. Funeral services Thursday, July 10, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. in Sinai Mortuary Chapel, 4538 N. 16th Street in Phoenix.
