Douglas Lawrence McWeeny, 79, born November 26, 1923 in Chicago, IL, died June 26, 2003 in Phoenix, AZ.
An Air Force Veteran, he served in WWII and Korea as an Officer in Communications.
He worked in the field of Advertising throughout his extensive career with J. Walter Thompson, and Kenyon and Eckhardt.
In Arizona, he volunteered as a public relations representative on the boards of The Red Cross, The Salvation Army, and Hospice of the Valley. He continued to work part-time in some capacity until 2002, contributing to the lives and wellness of other seniors. He was a delight and gift to all the lives he touched.
He has joined his beloved daughter Maggie in Heaven. Doug is survived by his wife of 50 years; Anita, his children; Doug Jr, Trisha, Cathy, Jim, Ginny, his delightful daughter - in - law, Beth, as well as his beloved son's-in-law, Kirk Davis, and Peter Jacobson, and 6 wonderful Grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, Maureen, Austin, Matthew and Colleen.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd.
Interment St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St.
