PRICE, Dorothy Jean

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, July 10, 2003 Dorothy Jean Price (74) died on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at Huger Mercy Living Center in Phoenix. She had been a resident of this Alzheimer's Living Center for over 6 years. She was born in West Elkton, Ohio on October 21, 1928, the youngest of Thirteen children of James and Rosa Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her Husband, Conley Price, Jr. of Phoenix: their Son, Alan Bruce, and his Wife Janelle, of Tucson, and numerous other relatives. She was married to Conley on August 26, 1949 at the North Seventh Street Church of Christ in Hamilton, Ohio. They moved to Phoenix in 1953. They had over 53 happy years together before her death. Dottie enjoyed being a housewife, and Mother, and was also engaged in many other activities. She was an avid Bridge player and Bowler, and belonged to several clubs, and leagues, before Alzheimer struck. For several years she was a volunteer at Baptist Hospital. She also enjoyed many different games with her family and friends, especially Scrabble.
