SULLIVAN, Andrew T. (Andy)


Quincy (IL) Herald-Whig Thursday, June 2, 2011 Andrew T "Andy" Sullivan, 56, of 415 Morton Drive, died at 1:33pm Monday (May 30, 2011) in Blessing Hospital. Andrew was born Spet 23, 1954, in Lawton, Okla., a son of George Andrew and Patrica Ann Sullivan. He married Sheryl Dooley on April 14, 1979, in Augusta. She survives. He was a graduate of Lawrence, Kan., High School and attended Quincy College. He served in the U.S. Navy. Andy had worked at the Duker Funeral Home and then worked at Knapheide Manufacturing Co. for 26 years. He was a member of Lutheran Church of St John, where he was a church elder. He was active with his grandson's Cub Scout activities and he loved to work in the yard. Survivors in addition to his wife, include his mother, Patricia Sullivan of Wickenburg, Ariz; a daughter, Bethany (Victor) Westfall of Quincy; a son, Matthew Sullivan of Quincy; three grandchildren, Brenden, Adelynn and Kaylynn, all of Quincy; a brother, Roger (Kathleen) Sullivan of West Dennis, Mass; three sisters, Mary Slaton of Phoenix, Ariz, Donna (John) Mich of Wickenburg amd Ann (Van) Wheatcraft of Phoenix; several nieces and nephews; and his in-laws, Evert and Bernice Dooley of Plymouth; and three brothers-in-law, Steve (Cindy) Dooley of Macomb, Stan (Joan) Dooley of Pekin and Bryan (Jackie)Dooley of Colchester. Andrew was preceded in death by his father, George Andrew Sullivan. Services: 10am Friday in the Lutheran Church of St John, with Harold J Bender Jr, conducting. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Basco. Visitation: 4 to 7pm Thursday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorials: Lutheran Church of St John.
