Wickenburg (AZ) Sun Friday, July 1, 1960, p 6 Rites Held Monday For Fred Stewart Funeral services were held at 5:30pm Monday in the Wickenburg Chapel for Fred Stewart who died in Community Hospital at 1:55pm Friday of last week. The Rev Robert Jenkins, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery with members of the Masonic Lodge conducting graveside rites. Mr Stewart was born February 1, 1901, in Butte, Mont. He worked in the steel mills of Seattle, Wash., before moving to Fort Townsend, Wash., where he operated a chicken ranch. He moved to Arizona for his health and resided in Flagstaff before coming to Wickenburg eight years ago. He was active in the Masonic and Eastern Star lodges, is a past patron of Eastern Star and was master of the Jefferson Masonic Lodge at Chimacum, Wash. For the past seven years Mr Stewart was employed as custodian at Ted's Cafe and La Cabana. Surviving are the widow, Mrs Betty Holmes Stewart whom he married January 7, 1955; and two cousins, Edwin Telling of Fort Townsend and Fred Telling of Chandler, Ariz. Both cousins were here for the funeral services. Also here was Mrs Lucille Tevis of Los Angeles, sister of Mrs Stewart.
