Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Monday, June 13, 2011 - Judith Ann Springer-Jones passed away May 12, 2011, at her home in Abilene, Texas where she lived since March of 2009. The last year she battled cancer like no other. Born April 17, 1945, in Ann Arbor, Mich. to Wilson Guy Springer and Blanche Lucille Springer where she lived until the summer of 1981, moving to Lake Havasu City, to start a new chapter in her life and calling Lake Havasu home for the next 27 years where she made many friends. She worked at many places in Lake Havasu but the one that stood out the most to her was when she was at former Havasu Regional Medical Center. A job she was proud of and loved as she worked there 20 years. She also had many other adventures as a member of the Royal Order of the Moose Lodge and a member of Mohave County Sheriff’s search and rescue, and even in her 60’s with health problems, she enjoyed helping people at Comfort Keepers where she also worked. Judy was a beloved mother, grandmother and hero to many and now a guardian angel. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her older brother Terry and her baby boy Christopher. She leaves behind a brother Michael Springer of San Angelo, Texas, a sister of Lake Havasu, two sons Keith Jones of Abilene, Texas and Jeff and Alisha Jones of Abilene, Texas. Four Granddaughters: Kristiane, Samantha, Amanda, Briana and one Grandson Jeffery. She was surrounded by family and friends in her last days were she was loved and cared for. She will sadly be missed but not forgotten.
