Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, June 14, 2011 - Richard (Dick) Knipe 1928 — 2011 Dick and his family moved to Lake Havasu City in 1970. He loved the town and loved watching it grow. Dick will be remembered by a lot of old-timers from working at Lake Havasu Hardware until 1975 and then at the high school as a custodian and keeper of the activity center until he retired in 1992. Dick is survived by Nish, his wife of 52 years; three daughters, two sons; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be July 2, at 4 p.m., at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85002. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix in his name.
