Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, June 15, 2011 Clara Kinney, age 75 of San Carlos, Ariz., went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. She was surrounded by her family and friends. Clara was born on Oct. 8, 1935 to the late Edna Chinn and John Hudson. Clara was raised and lived all her life in San Carlos. She was a homemaker. In her early years she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. She joined a gospel singing group that traveled all over the United States singing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Clara had many hobbies including reading, sewing, and cooking. She opened her home to her relatives and children’s friends. Clara loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always talked fondly of them and displayed pictures of them all around her room. Clara married the late Jerry Kinney and they had nine children. Clara will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her children, Beverly, Carol, Harold, and Robert Kinney of San Carlos, Brenda Kinney of Phoenix, Ariz., and Wayne Kinney of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her sisters, Sarah Phillips of San Carlos and Lenore Dudley of Englewood, Colo.; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation was held at the Kinney Residence on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. at the World Evangelism Revival Center. Interment was at the San Carlos Cemetery. The family was assisted by San Carlos Tribal Tributes.
